All set for a glittering military career in the cavalry at 20, I found myself working as an Assistant Gravedigger at 21, wondering where it all went wrong. Thanks to a persistent bank manager and a (hitherto unsuspected) greediness, I discovered I had a knack for starting low cost, low risk businesses, which was just as well, as things were pretty grim. Eventually, when I had a bit more time, I was able to take stock and wrote about my experiences in the swashbuckling world of business.
